Kevin
Thanks so much for the photos and instructions. I bought my daughter a used HP6707 on ebay and it had a couple keys that seemed stuck down. Prying the key off I noticed that the silicone "tube" on which the keys are mounted (inside the articulated mount) were actually broken and the keys, while they worked, were not bouncing back. I originally just put a little bit of rubber inside to make them the right height but didn't like the lack of "feel".
A new keyboard was less than $20 and it took me, using your great instructions, about 30 minutes to change the keyboard for the new one.
Thanks again amigo.

I have an HP 5210. I had a bit more screws to remove but your step by step gave me confidence. The pictures were worth more than 1000 words. I lost the other keyboard to my 2 year old and have had the new keyboard sitting around for almost a year using an external keyboard. I can't thank you enough, it is funny how some of your friends had jokes, you just have no idea what a blessing you've been, but then again you do because look at all the posts!

Thanks Kevin

Your pictures were very usefull even I have a HP pavillion 9600. Less screws and there was no need to remove the RAM cover but espacially the way to lose and fasten the cable. My dealer told me a keyboard couldn't be replaced and no buttons were available. Thanks to a brand new genuine HP keyboard I bought through Ebay ($15,-) my laptop is as new. Many thanks.

A few tip for 9600 users that read your site.

1. On the right side of the speakercover is a little clip to losen the cover.
2. To remove the cable push the 2 little clips next to the connector forward to losen the
 losen the cable.

Thanks again
